According to the Illinois Department of Employment Security, nurse assistants are expected to increase to about as fast as average through 2012.  CNA is one of 50 occupations expected to provide the most job openings each year in Illinois, about 1,790 openings are anticipated annually.

The Collins CNA Training Program is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health and is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Our friendly and knowledgable faculty will teach students proper treatment of clients hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and the fundamental guidelines of clients rights.

Basic human anatomy and medical terminology are incorporated in the program. This program also provides a brief overview of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and contains information of Alzheimer’s and dementia clients.  Students will acquire communications and coping skills for this client population

The Collins CNA Training Program offers flexible schedules and is located in a convient location.  The instructors of the program are registered nurses with years of experience in the hospital, long-term and home care setting. The classes are small to ensure that each student recieves more personal attention.
